1 — Summary
We collect only what a department site needs: contact-form details you give us, basic LMS sign-in identity from Google, and minimal technical logs. We do not sell data, run ads, or track you across the web.
2 — Data we collect
- Contact inquiries: name, email, phone (optional), interest and message — provided by you.
- LMS sign-in (Google OAuth): name, institutional email (@pace.edu.in) and basic profile as shared by Google. We do not see your Google password.
- LMS records: OD / leave / bonafide requests you submit inside the portal.
- Technical: basic server logs (pages requested, device type) for security and reliability.
We do not intentionally collect Aadhaar, bank, health, or other sensitive data via this site. Please do not send such details.
3 — How we use it
- Respond to admissions, collaboration, event and research inquiries.
- Verify institutional identity and process LMS requests (staff → HOD → management workflow).
- Maintain site security, prevent abuse, and improve content.
Legal basis under the DPDP Act is your consent (submitting a form / signing in) and legitimate academic-administrative use.
6 — Retention
Contact inquiries: kept up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized. LMS academic records: kept per college record policy. Server logs: kept up to 12 months. See Data Deletion to request earlier removal.
7 — Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request access, correction, erasure, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise any right, email info@pace.edu.in from your institutional email with the subject "Data Request — [Access / Correction / Deletion]". We respond within 30 days after verifying identity.
